Last week a
certification by the Bluetooth SIG clues that the Vivo V30 Pro is close to launch. Now it appears with
Dimensity 8200 chipset on Geekbench. This seems to be the chipset in concern,
at least. The Vivo S18 Pro, which is exclusive to China and has the more
potent Dimensity 9200+, was purportedly the model on which the V30 Pro was
based.
The benchmark scores
are too early to talk about because, even with only two runs in the database,
they differ significantly (1,045/3,637 for single/multicore, and 1,223/3,784
for multicore). The latter is more consistent with our expectations regarding
the Dimensity 8200.
The smartphone, armed
with 12GB of RAM and operating on Android 14, underwent Geekbench testing with
the powerful Dimensity 8200 processor. vivo has already introduced several
devices fueled by the 8200, such as the V27 Pro and V29 Pro from
the previous year.
In the latest lineup,
the Vivo V30 Lite made its debut towards the end of 2023,
featuring a Snapdragon 695 and a starting configuration of 12/256GB. The
recently released Vivo V30, which hit the market earlier this month,
boasts a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and offers a base configuration of 8/128GB, with
options extending up to 12/512GB.
While the V30 shares similarities with the S18, such as a 50MP ultra-wide camera instead of the S18's 8MP, the V30 Lite deviates even further from the S18e. This suggests a high likelihood that the V30 Pro will differentiate itself from the S18 Pro not only in terms of chipset but also in other aspects.
