Along with adding generative AI to Maps today, Google also revealed some new Bard updates. The primary one is that Bard can now utilize Google's most recent multimodal AI model, Gemini Pro, in all of the languages and regions where Bard is currently accessible.

Gemini Pro was previously added to Bard only for the English language, providing it with "more advanced understanding, reasoning, summarizing, and coding abilities".

Bard now boasts the ability to generate images, a feature available in English across most countries worldwide at no cost. This enhancement is powered by Google's latest Imagen 2 model, strategically crafted to achieve a harmonious blend of quality and speed, resulting in high-quality, lifelike outputs.

Utilizing this capability is as straightforward as entering a description into Bard's text box. The outcome? Tailored and diverse visuals that breathe life into your ideas. Bard incorporates SynthID to seamlessly integrate digitally identifiable watermarks into the pixels of the generated images, providing a distinct means to discern their AI origin.

Lastly, by selecting the G icon, you can now verify Bard's output against more than 40 language versions of Google search results. After you click that, Bard will assess whether its response is supported by content on the internet.
