Vivo is scheduled to
launch its foldable phone’s X Fold 3 series in March. The members that will be
in this series are Vivo X Fold 3 and the X Fold 3 Pro. The basic
model will be ranked as a more cost-effective option while the Pro variant will
come with excellent specsheet. Today, the primary camera of what appears to be
the X Fold 3 series was made public on Weibo by tipster Digital Chat Station.
In the most recent
leak, DCS is heard talking about a foldable phone that is most likely the Vivo
X Fold 3 series and is anticipated to have a thin and light form factor. He
said the device will have a periscope telescopic lens and an OmniVision OV50H
primary camera.
Recent information has
indicated that the standard Vivo X Fold 3 may not include a periscope telephoto
camera, contrary to earlier reports. Instead, leaks suggest that the Vivo X Fold
3 could incorporate a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera, based on the
latest information.
The OV50H has been
previously employed by Vivo as the primary camera in the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro
models. There's a potential that both the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro will
share this same primary camera.
To provide some
context, the Vivo X Fold 3 and X Fold 3 Pro are anticipated to be equipped with
the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipsets, respectively. Reports
speculate that the X Fold 3 might lack certain features present in the Pro
model, such as an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner and wireless
charging. It's suggested that the X Fold 3 could opt for a side-facing
fingerprint scanner instead.
The Vivo Pad 3 tablet and the Vivo X100s smartphone are anticipated to be released with Vivo at its March launch event for the Chinese market.
