The Honor Magic V2 RSR
Porsche Design and
the Honor Magic 6 and Magic 6 Pro smartphones were just introduced in the Chinese market by
Honor. By the end of February, during the next MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2024
tech trade exhibition, these devices will be unveiled to the world market. The
company is also developing a new 5G-enabled tablet for the Chinese market,
according to a recent disclosure by tipster Digital Chat Station.
DCS claims that the
forthcoming Honor tablet with 5G capability would be a low-cost variant
equipped with a Snapdragon CPU. It will have a 12.1-inch LCD screen with
support for eye protection and a Quad HD resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels. The
leak indicates that the smartphone will enable 35W fast charging, even if the
battery size has not been specified.
The informant revealed
that Honor is actively developing a cutting-edge flagship tablet, anticipated
to feature satellite connectivity. Unfortunately, specific monikers for these
tablets were not disclosed.
Honor has built a
reputation for launching tablets under the Pad and Pad X labels. In December
2023, the company introduced the Honor Pad 9 powered by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in
China, also recognized as the Honor Tablet 9, which lacks cellular
connectivity.
In July 2023, the
company unveiled the Honor Pad X9, equipped with the Snapdragon 685 chipset in
China, and later released globally in both Wi-Fi-only and LTE variants.
It is plausible that the forthcoming 5G tablet, alluded to by the leaker, might serve as the successor to the Pad X9. Consequently, there is speculation that the tablet could be named the Honor Pad X10 upon its market debut.
