Vivo X100 Pro in China Unveils Game-Changing Update, Empowering Front Camera with 4K Video Recording

The flagship Vivo X100 Pro smartphone was first released in China in November, and the international version followed in January. The Chinese model now includes an essential camera feature according to the brand's latest test version of OriginOS, 14.0.14.6, which also fixes several problems.

With the latest OriginOS update for the Vivo X100 Pro, you can now use the front camera to record 4K films. When 4K recording wasn't available on the flagship phone, despite the front camera and the device's SoC supporting it, people were perplexed. It appears that Vivo may have included this feature in reaction to rival smartphones that already supported 4K filming on their front cameras, such as the Xiaomi 14 Pro and Oppo Find X7 Ultra. The latest update for the Vivo X100 Pro in China brings a plethora of exciting features, particularly focusing on enhancing the capabilities of the front camera. Notably, the front camera now boasts "4k 30 fps" and "4k 60 fps" options in Video mode, elevating the video recording experience and expanding creative possibilities for users who prioritize front-camera usage. Additionally, optimizations have been implemented for the rear camera, refining photo effects to enhance clarity and improving the accuracy of portrait bokeh in Portrait mode.

Furthermore, users can expect an improved experience in Photo mode with enhanced display stability of the manual focus tracking frame. The Bluetooth functionality has also been fine-tuned, specifically addressing the stability of connections with Bluetooth car kits. On the home screen, lock screen, and wallpaper fronts, the update introduces information to sync for the "Guotie Juxun" train reminder service, enabling users to conveniently access train number updates in Origin Notification, Smart Launcher, and Important Notifications.

Addressing some user interface issues, the update resolves occasional display problems on the home screen after exiting Recent tasks. The Sticker Component has also received attention, fixing occasional background display issues. In the input method category, users can expect optimized stability for the system input method.

On the system level, the update aims at enhancing overall stability for a smoother user experience. It also tackles the occasional issue of abnormal power consumption in standby mode.
