iQOO Z9 and iQOO 12s Chipset Revealed Ahead of Launch

iQOO launched the iQOO 12 and 12 Pro back in November 2023 with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in China. The brand has gained a position in the market by releasing the iQOO 12 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in the global market. It debuted the Neo 9 and Neo 9 Pro in December, sporting the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Dimensity 9300 chipsets, respectively. According to recent sources, the company plans to release the iQOO Z9 and iQOO 12s in the domestic market during the first half of this year.

As per the tipster Smart Pikachu, the Dimensity 8300 chipset is anticipated to be included with the iQOO Z9. This puts the gadget in a competitive position against the Redmi K70e, which is equipped with the same chip. The lengthy battery life of the iQOO Z9 will be its primary focus, the leaker stressed.

Recall that the iQOO Z8 was shipped with a 5,000mAh battery and the Dimensity 8200 processor. Therefore, it seems that the Z9 might have a larger battery than the iQOO Z8.

The informant provided additional details, disclosing that the iQOO 12s is currently in development for the Chinese market, featuring the anticipated Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Regrettably, no further information was shared about the Z9 and 12s smartphones.

In a related development, insider Digital Chat Station recently leaked information suggesting that iQOO is actively working on a phone equipped with Qualcomm's upcoming chipset, identified by the part number SM-8635. This chipset could potentially belong to the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 or a Snapdragon 8 series. Speculation surrounds the device being named the iQOO Neo9 SE upon its release, boasting a flat OLED panel with a 1.5K resolution, 16 GB of LPDDR5x RAM, 1 TB of UFS 4.0 storage, a robust 5,000mAh+ battery, 120W fast charging capability, and a durable plastic frame.
