On January 29, Realme
will introduce the Realme 12 Pro line of smartphones. The brand is working hard
to verify the phone's essential characteristics ahead of its formal release. It
was previously thought that the Sony IMX890 primary camera was shared between
the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+. But as the leaked poster shows, the 12 Pro's principal
camera sensor is different.
The Sony IMX890 camera
sensor, which is commonly seen on flagship and sub-flagship phones, will be
available on the Realme 12 Pro+. However, the Realme 12 Pro will be equipped
with the brand-new Sony IMX882 camera sensor. The IMX882 sensor is reportedly
the same as the LYT-600 sensor, which is present in phones like the Vivo S18e
and Oppo Reno 11 5G, both of which are sold in China.
The 12 Pro+ is
anticipated to boast a rear camera arrangement featuring a 64-megapixel OV64B
periscope telephoto camera equipped with 3x optical zoom. In contrast, the 12
Pro is projected to sport a 32-megapixel telephoto camera. Both models are
rumored to incorporate an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens.
Reports suggest that
the front-facing cameras for the Realme 12 Pro and 12 Pro+ could be
16-megapixel and 32-megapixel, respectively. The Pro variant might be powered
by the Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 chipset, while the Pro+ is expected to feature the
Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 SoC.
As of now, the pricing details for the Realme 12 Pro series remain undisclosed. The series is anticipated to offer a 6.7-inch AMOLED FHD+ 120Hz display, up to 12 GB of RAM, up to 256 GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging. Information regarding the pricing of the Realme 12 Pro series is currently unavailable.
