Three highly anticipated features for the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro, along with several of Google's older tablets and smartwatches, are part of Google's first Pixel feature drop of the year.

It has been officially confirmed that Circle to Search, which was teased before the launch of the Galaxy S24 series, will make its way to the Pixel 8 and 8 Pro on January 31. By holding down the home button or navigation bar and swiping, highlighting, or circling text on your screen, you may use this function to search for information without ever leaving it.

Making a splendid debut within the Google Messages app for Pixel 6 and newer devices, Magic Compose is set to transform your messaging experience. This innovative feature utilizes generative AI responses tailored to your conversations and is easily activated through a new option adjacent to the emoji menu in the message typing box. Users can choose from various writing styles, ranging from enthusiastic to Shakespearean, allowing them to craft messages that are both concise and professional for formal occasions. While the Pixel 8 Pro performs all the heavy lifting on-device, other Pixel models will harness the power of the clouds to enhance this remarkable capability.

The FDA-approved medical-grade body temperature readings that Google has added to the Pixel 8 Pro's temperature sensor are a huge help and can be stored in your FitBit profile.

Another recent addition to the Google Messages app is Photomoji, which lets you create reaction stickers from your images. Now called Quick Share, Nearby Share is compatible with all Android phones running version 6 and higher. Pixel phones, Pixel Watch and Watch 2, Pixel tablet, and Pixel Buds Pro will soon support seamless audio switching. This feature enables automatic switching between associated devices.
