Samsung has
recently added the Galaxy M44 5G to its official website in Korea, signaling
the imminent launch of the device. The most surprising thing is that this
latest mid-range phone Samsung is powered by a Snapdragon 888 chip. Despite
being an older chip introduced in 2020, the Snapdragon 888 is a high-end
solution, surpassing any other chipset previously featured in the Galaxy M
series.
The presence
of this chip was hinted at in an earlier Galaxy M44 Geekbench entry, although
skepticism arose due to a history of fake entries, many of which falsely
claimed that the Snapdragon 888 SoC would be incorporated into various other
mid-range phones. However, the official Samsung website has now confirmed
the Snapdragon 888 chip for the Galaxy M44 which will mark a noteworthy shift
in the entire Galaxy mid-range market landscape.
The South
Korean debut of the Galaxy M44 introduces a smartphone equipped with 6GB RAM,
expandable storage of 128GB via microSD, and an FHD+ PLS LCD boasting a maximum
refresh rate of 120Hz. Additionally, a 5,000mAh battery will power this device.
In the camera department, the Galaxy M44 stands out with a 50MP primary lens,
accompanied by two 2MP shooters. This configuration is unique, featuring a
robust main sensor alongside more budget-friendly telephoto and ultra-wide
units.
The pricing
information is currently unavailable, and the Galaxy M44 page does not feature
a "Buy" button as of now. However, the official product page tailored
for business owners is already active in Korea, suggesting that the device
could become available for purchase in other markets in the near future.
