Last year the brand released 12C in China now the leaks are
confirming that it is the time for the successor model named 13C to overcome
the mid-range smartphones in the market. The smartphone is not yet officially
presented, but its listing on Amazon ahead of its launch offers a sneak peek
into the device's specifications and design. Even the price of this device has
also been revealed in advance by this Amazon listing.
Design
The Redmi 13C showcases a contemporary design marked by a flat
frame and a rectangular camera module. However, it's worth noting that the
screen bezels, particularly the lower chin beneath the display, continue to
maintain their relatively generous width. Additionally, the selfie camera
retains its position within a notch or punch hole, as seen in its predecessor.
The phone will be offered in at least three colors: black, blue, and light
green.
Camera
The rear panel of the Redmi 13C houses a 50MP primary camera
with an impressive f/1.8 aperture, enhanced by 4-in-1 pixel binning technology.
Additionally, the camera setup includes a 2MP macro camera with an f/2.4
aperture and a 2MP depth sensor. According to the listing, the device is
expected to run on MIUI 14, which is built on the Android 12 platform.
Furthermore, the Redmi 13C is equipped with a substantial 5,000 mAh battery and
supports 18W fast charging for added convenience.
Performance
Under the hood, it will carry a MediaTek Helio G99, a 6nm
System-on-Chip (SoC) introduced last year. This chipset is equipped with a duo
of ARM Cortex-A76 performance cores, capable of reaching clock speeds of up to
2.2 GHz, alongside six power-efficient Cortex-A55 cores running at 2.0 GHz.
Notably, the device incorporates a fingerprint sensor and offers support for
face unlock, albeit Xiaomi employs 2D facial recognition technology for this
purpose.
Launch and Price
The Redmi 13C is expected to launch soon with a configuration offering 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage at a price point of $140, while the variant featuring 6GB of RAM is projected to be priced at $160.
