Redmi K50i Overview:

After the success of the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro, Redmi launched its new smartphone, K50i, on July 23, 2022. It is an excellent mid-range premium smartphone from Redmi K-Series with MediaTek Dimensity 8100, Octa-core CPU, and Mali. -G610 MC6 GPU, Android 12, MIUI 13 OS, 64MP primary camera, 16MP selfie camera, 6GB/8GB RAM, 128G/256GB internal storage, and 5080 Li-Po mAh battery with 67W fast charging. 

Redmi K50i has 3G, 4G, and 5G SA/NSA bands for its connectivity. The device supports GSM/HSPA/LTE/5G networks, with HSPA 42.2 Mbps for download and 5.76 Mbps for upload. It has inbuilt Wi-Fi capability, dual-band, wireless hotspot capability, and a dual nano SIM slot. It has no FM radio. USB Type-C 2.0 is also available in this smartphone. The dimension of this device has 163.6 x 74.3 x 8.9 mm and is 200 grams in weight.

The Redmi K50i features a 6.6-inch FHD+ IPS LCD display with a screen resolution of 2460 x 1080 pixels, 144Hz refresh rate, and 270Hz touch sampling rate. It also has a 10-bit panel that produces up to 1.07 billion colors. The display also has a 20.5:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+ support, Dolby Vision, DC Dimming, and 650-nits Peak Brightness. Redmi K50i has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front panel, and the phone's back and frame are made of plastic. Since the device does not have an AMOLED panel, Redmi has added a side-mounted fingerprint scanner to unlock the phone. Accelerometer, proximity, gyro, compass, and color spectrum sensors are also available in this device. Overall, the phone has a good display, and you won't face any issues using it to perform daily tasks. Plus, it's the best display for gaming at this price point.

Redmi K50i is powered by MediaTek Dimensity 8100 Max chipset for performance. The RAM type is LPDDR5, and the storage type is UFS3.1. The mobile has been launched in three variants, 6GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, 8GB RAM + 128GB internal storage, and 8GB RAM + 256GB internal storage. The operating system, Android 12, MIUI 13, is given. The phone comes with Octa-core 4x2.85 GHz Cortex-A78 and 4x2.0 GHz Cortex-A55 CPU, and Mali-G610 MC6 GPU is a perfect match for better performance, and you won't face any problems.

The Redmi K50i comes with a triple rear camera setup with LED flash in a rectangular module that includes a 64MP primary lens with f/1.89 aperture, an 8MP ultra-wide angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 120-degree field of view, and a 2MP macro lens with f/2.4 aperture. The punch-hole display lodges a 16MP selfie camera lens with an f/2.45 aperture. The rear cameras of this phone can record 4k videos at 30fps, while the front camera can record videos up to 1080p at 30fps.

The Redmi K50i's 64MP primary sensor captures good photos in good lighting conditions but sometimes suffers in low light or at night. Also, it tries to whiten the images, so if you like drenched photos, you'll be happy. The 8MP ultra-wide sensor is also suitable but forgets that it's counted as the 2MP macro sensor for numerals. The 16MP selfie camera takes some good photos and produces white images.
