Infinix Note 12 G88
Overview:
Infinix has introduced a new smartphone under its Note series called Infinix Note 12 G88. The device is a successor to the Infinix Note 11, launched earlier. The Infinix Note 12 is a good device, but the phone is very similar to its predecessor, the Infinix Note 11, and Infinix hasn't changed much in the successor Note 12. The phone is launched in two variants – 4GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage with dedicated microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 512GB. It is available in Force Black, Sunset Golden, and Jewel Blue colors.
Infinix Note 12 has 3G and 4G bands for its connectivity and
no 5G band. The device supports GSM / HSPA / LTE networks, with HSPA 42.2 Mbps
for download and 5.76 Mbps for upload. It has Wi-Fi capability, dual-band,
wireless hotspot capability, and a dual nano SIM slot. It has an FM radio. USB
Type-C 2.0 is also available in this smartphone. The dimension of this device
has 164.4 x 76.7 x 7.9 mm and is 184.5 grams in weight.
The Infinix Note 12 G88 has a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display
with 2400 x 1080 pixels screen resolution, 60Hz refresh rate, and 180Hz touch
sampling rate. The display also has a 20:9 aspect ratio, 92% screen-to-body
ratio, 100% DCI P3 color gamut, and a peak brightness of 1000 nits. Also, you
won't face any problems while using the phone outdoors. The back panel and
frame of Infinix Note 12 are made of plastic and protected by Corning Gorilla
Glass 3 on the front. Despite the device having an AMOLED panel, Infinix has
provided a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and not an in-display fingerprint
to unlock the phone. It has Widevine L1 support, which means you can stream
FHD+ content on OTT apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime Videos, etc.
Infinix Note 12 is powered by a Mediatek Helio G88 processor,
Octa Core 6x1.8 GHz Cortex-A55, and 2x2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 paired with Arm
Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for graphics. The device runs on Android 11-based XOS 10.6.
The Infinix Note 12 has a triple rear camera setup with LED
flash in a rectangular module, a 50MP primary sensor with f/1.6 aperture, a 2MP
depth sensor with f/2.4 aperture, and an AI sensor. The phone has a 16MP selfie
camera lens with f/2.0 aperture in a waterdrop notch design display. The
primary cameras can record videos up to 1440p at 30fps, while the selfie camera
can record videos up to 1080p at 30fps. The 50MP primary sensor takes good
shots in good lighting conditions but suffers in low-light or night
photography. In addition, the phone enhances the colors of the photos. The 16MP
front camera also clicks some good shots with good details, but Infinix tries
to saturate the images. So, if you like saturated photos, you'll be happy with
both the selfie and rear cameras.
The Infinix Note 12 or Infinix Note 12 G88 has a 5,000 mAh
battery with 33W fast charging support. Overall the phone's battery is good, and
you won't face any problems. However, phone battery life varies from person to
person.
If you are a gaming user who plays many games, you need to
charge the device twice a day, but if you are a regular user, it will last for
a day without any issues.
The Infinix Note 12 Mobile 4GB+64GB model is priced at $180, and the top-end 6GB+128GB model is priced at $200.
